What are some benefits of buying in-season or local produce?

-Often cheaper

-Usually tastes better

-More nutrients: food that has to be shipped and loaded in a truck across long distances doesn’t have the opportunity to develop as it naturally would

-If you buy local in-season produce, you’re helping the environment and helping your local economy

-There’s a wider variety of produce seasonally available than you think!

-Working around local or in-season produce means more opportunity for creativity or trying meals you never would have considered before

Fall is almost upon us, which means new delicious fruits and vegetables are in season.  So head out to one of many’s Utah’s farmer’s markets, farms, or produce stands, and try something new!
